CORDA member wins Gold medal at the 2008 skydiving nationals

Becky Austin, a consultant at CORDA, won gold with her 4-way skydiving team, Exodus, at the UK national championships this August. The army-sponsored team have been training together since February this year and were overjoyed to win both the Army Parachute Championships and the UK nationals competition.
New study to examine warship protection

In light of the growing threat from small surface boats, CORDA has been awarded a £300,000 research contract by the UK MoD's Defence Technology and Innovation Centre (DTIC) to assess the level of protection British Warships receive from small calibre 30mm guns.

CORDA Team Member Becomes Skydiving World Record Holder

Laura Kenyon, a Consultant from CORDA, has just returned from Arizona, as a world record holder!  The Women's Vertical World Record involves skydivers' flying head down reaching speeds of over 180mph, attempting to link in a  pre-planned formation.  Nearly 30 women gathered from a number of countries, including America, Tokyo, Israel, Argentina, Russia, and Hungary, registered for the event, hoping that they possessed the skills required.
155MM Study Looks To Pack More Punch Into The Royal Navy's Fleet

Farnborough, United Kingdom - A team from across BAE Systems has been awarded the second phase of a UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) study programme to examine the possibility of increasing the firepower of the Royal Navy fleet by integrating a 155mm gun on future warships. The study will also assess the possibility of fitting the more powerful system to existing ships.
